where is a good place to advertise?

I've got a black Simmental bull I want to sell but have not had any luck with the internet so far. Any suggestions?

Put a classified ad in a local farm paper. I know I can't wait to get my Farm Bureau paper every week to see what people are selling.

Try "Livestock Weekly" they have lots of advs, classified, subsc. $15. year.

Try the local sale barn. never been in one that didn't have a board to post such items.

Look around for local avenues to advertise in. The Thrifty Nickle is pretty cheap. Our electric coop and Farm Bureau Insurance both publish monthly newspapers. I've seen for sale ads posted on bulletin boards at sale barns and coffee shops. What about a consignment bull sale? Is there one in your area? Do you have performance info on him, BW, WW, etc? Does he have EPDs? Put all that in the ad. If you'll put the price you're asking in the ad that will weed out some of the people who are looking for a sale barn bull. Good luck...
