When to re-breed plus any suggestions?

Thanks to this website and you alls advise, my small operation had several nice Brangus bull calves born in April. Last year I took my Hiefers over to my dads place for breeding to his Red Brangus Bull.

Due to this Bulls availability, this year the plan is to bring him over to my property for 60 days of rebreeding starting 01 July. This should bring April-May calves next year.

This is my first time for rebreeding and I need some reassuring and any advise. It's been just over 60 days since the last calf was born. From what I've read, it should be okay to rebreed after 30 - 45 days. Is that correct? The cows will have their calves by their side when the Bull comes over to my property.

Congratulations on your calves! :D A cow/heifer normally comes into heat 30-45 days post-partum, so you should have no problems at 60 days post-partum. Calves at their side should not be a problem, either. Cute calf, from what I can see he looks nice. Good luck with your cattle!

Not sure about that weed. Cows don't like to mess with it.
I sprayed 2-4D after this photo was taken.

what is that plant? some sort of milkweed?

That's a persimmon sprout. Cattle love eating the ripe persimmons. Eat them in the late fall and winter and then drop seeds all over the pasture. Sprouts come up in the spring. Mowing keeps them under control. Good looking calf.

Looks like butterfly milkweed to me (Asclepias Tuberosa). If you break one ofthe leaf stems or maybe even just the leaf from the main stalk if some white, dare I say, milky looking stuff forms it's milkweed

i'm pretty sure thats a milkweed. its definitely not a persimmon sprout.

anyway, nice calf.
