when to plant rye

I'm planning on planting a mix of rye grass and rye grain. I was thinking of mid September, but what should the avg. highs be? They're calling for 100 plus for the next several days. It looks like it will cool down some by middle of the month, just don't want to plant too soon and burn it up.

Sounds about right .....with 100 degree days i wouldn't do anything. It should start cooling up soon.

When highs are no more than 85f. Maybe up to 87f
