when to plant pearl millet

I bought three bags of leafy 23 hybrid pearl millet seed and intended to plant it on five acres back in April. Have I waited too late to plant it here in East Texas about an hour and a half North of Houston? Any comments appreciated. I would like to have it baled if it makes a good stand.

Never dealt with leafy 23 but, I've seen tiff 3 planted in july/august here and still make good.

You will be OK if you can get it to rain on it.
