when is the Tulsa Fair? also, what are the weight requirements, tag-in dates and what breed are all things to consider to answer your question.

I believe nominations are in May, the fair is the end of September, I am not sure on weight requirments, I have not decided on a breed yet. does some breeds do better than others in the steer shows?

You need to buy your Tulsa steer in the Fall (Aug - Oct.). You will need a calf born between Feb. & June. March, April & May calves are best. There are always some sales and futurity sales at the Tulsa fair for the following year. Be sure to get a written Breeder Statement from the seller listing the sire and breed. This will make nomination much easier. Good Luck ;-)
