When a CT member dies

Walnutcrest post about the lighting made me wonder about members of the forum dying. Would we even know about it. I guess if I died Shaneb would probably come on and make some kind of smart joke about it. Bigfoot might would hear about it through our Hope Outdoors connection. But how many members on here don't know anyone else on here personally. Would we ever know what happened.

Some have died that were personally known by other on here.
If no one knew of it from another source, you would just disappear. And that would be that. :cry2:

This is kind of sad to think about! I guess some members that are friends on Facebook would hear about it through friends and family members posting.........Might be a good reason to have a few CT members as friends on FB.

This is a good thread as I was pondering the exact subject yesterday. I was discing and was thinking if I was to Die today have I expressed my wishes to all of my family(I know I need a will) enough to make sure they can handle things. I also wondered how long it be before anyone missed me. and called to check on me. the problem with that is my wife would probably be on vacation some where(they will be wealthy if I die) and not have my old phone with her.

Excellent thread. I got the chance to hear former governor of Tennessee, Ned Mcwherter speak once. He told a story, that I have always remembered. He said while he was office, he stopped in a little country store. There was one elderly lady minding the cash regester. He paid for his purchase, and the lady thanked him for his business, like she would have anybody. It puzzled him, why she didn't have more to say. He thought she didn't recognize him, so he told her who he was. She said,"I recognized you right off." The story went on a little longer, but she ended by telling him, on the day of your funeral, the weather will be the deciding factor on who comes, and who stays at home. For some reason, that story made a big impression on me.

Our time here on CT, will be much like our time here on earth.

For the record Deepsouth, I'll make a trip to Mississippi to pass on my condolences, if you go first. No matter what the weather.

Yep. I have gotten some "good bye" PMs from a few people that were just tired of "the attitude."
I don't think cowgirl8 is gone, just stepping back maybe.

I personaly know alot of people that are on here, so when I get thrown off my horse or run over by a cow, there will be someone think to say something after about 6 months.
