wheat straw round bales

I was wondering how good are wheat straw bales. i am able to buy some about half price of a coastal round bale.

Are they wheat straw (not very good feed at all, just good for them to sleep on) or wheat hay, that can be good feed. 8% crude protein and 58% TDN

Not even that good around here. More like 2% Protein. Nothing more than filler but will at least keep them full if you supplement it with good cubes and/or liquid feed.
