These nodules have just come up within the last couple of weeks. At first I thought they may be ticks, but now they appear to be solid. They are on this one cow in the herd. They are all Texas Longhorn cattle. Any thoughts on what this could be, and any treatment recommendations? I am not able to get very close to them. Thanks for any suggestions.

They just look like warts to me. You can pull'em off or leave'em. Some say strong iodine applied to them makes them go away.

Im not real knowledgable in this stuff..but they sure look like warts to me.
Can cattle get warts?
I know one of my horses did..easy enough to get rid of..we used Compound W and then tied them off.

Maybe some sort of insect deal... Is this the first time you have ever seen this?

Yes, this is the first time we have seen this. It came up within a couple of weeks. None of the other cows have it, and we have had our herd for about one year.
