Sometimes we lose sight of what is really important in this life. In 2003, I lost my 16 year old son. It is a kind of pain that is unimaginable to those who have not lost a child. It is very different than losing someone who has lived a full life. Sunday, we nearly lost our 26 year old son in law, who has a 2 month old baby boy and 4 year old daughter. We were told he wasn't going to survive, but he did and is getting better every day. Not out of the woods yet but we are optimistic. Kind of makes all the other problems we have seem very small. Just a reminder to count your blessings, and thank God every day for the things that are REALLY important in this life.
