I'm smoking some pork ribs as we speak. Gonna fry some okra and cook some bush beans to go with the ribs. What is everyone else cooking?
 
The DIL is cooking dinner and I hear it's gonna be pasta. Today is also my oldest son's birthday so we are celebrating double. He was actually born on Mothers day so it's always a big deal for us.

I made a big pot of homemade New England Clam Chowder, I am taking it over to my moms tonight.
 
Smoked beef bibs, green beans fresh from the garden, a tossed salad also fresh from the garden, and garlic bread. Also Mom is bringing her Texas State award winning German Chocolate Cake years 1935 and 36...Yum yum
 
My Daughter did pork loin on the grill and roasted potatoes, she made butter pecan cupcakes and lemon bread, I did the asparagus and portabello mushrooms with Parmesan sauce, and jalapeno corn bread muffins and chocolate cake. Great day with great food and my kids!!

well i guess im bad lolol i didnt take mom out for luch on mothers day because she said it would be to crowded.so we just ate at home.my brother is going to cook for her when he has time.TB im with you talking bout german cakes my mom makes a germen choc cake thatll knock you out from scratch.25 years ago i had a real good friend that would give her $50 for her germen choc cake.i havent had 1 in a year or so tho,an im ready for 1.
