I asked a similar question a year ago but Im curious how your thoughts have changed with the market. I have been building my cow/calf operation this last year because I still fell thats the best way to take advantage of the market currently plus its what works best for me. My Dad (who is not a cattle man) wants to invest a little money to turn over in say 6 months. So my question is in todays market right now, what would you buy this month to try to sell for a profit in September or October? I have plenty of grass, don't want to feed anything and I also have a good Polled Hereford bull. My first thought was buy black replacement heifers run them with the bull and sell them as a small set of bred heifers this fall. Thoughts? Advice?
