I read other posts, and it said, "She was dilated but the calf had not moved up into the birth canal. The calf was dead at that point...".
How do you find out about all these? What would you see?
I have a heifer passing out mucus. Her bag is filling up but her teats are not swollen. Her tail hits her hip. She is displaying discomfort. I have no idea when she is going to give birth.
If I know what to look for when the heifer is ready (except funny tail), that would be great!
