what to do

I have galloway, hereford, and charolais young heifers. I am pretty sure that i will a.i. my first time around. I live in s.e. washington state and my girls are on decent pasture eight months of the year. Any suggestions on one breed of bull to take care of all three breeds? This is just a hobby for me, so docility is preferred.

Red Angus. There are excllent calving ease bulls at all of the major studs.

 

[Black and Good]

I have a similar bunch. Hereford/Angus,Gelbveih/Angus,Limo/Angus. I A.I.ed them to "GAR High Design" back in may. I think he is one of the better hefier bulls in the Black Angus breed and stiil has decent growth. Had real good conception rate also. Gardiner uses this bull alot on thier heifers. He is a 1407 son. Go with a Galloway bull they cross well and they are known for docility and you might as well make money on your hobby. I have a Galloway bull that I can walk right up to in the pasture and brush him if I want, yet he protects his cows from any threat.

Red or black angus. Go with whatever gives you the most consistency in color, type, and kind.
