What do you do when you are working with an animal in the corral, and suddenly hear that screeeeech of wire being stretched (you know the sound) like when an animal deliberately walks through it?? Even though you KNOW that there isn't an animal in the area :shock: ?? Of course you get up, run over to that side of the corral and look to see what is going on. Surprise, surprise when you see...... absolutely nothing.

We went through this for two days, plus the sound of a squeaky door/meowring cat, before we figured out what WAS going on. !@#$%! mocking bird!! Wouldn't have been such an ordeal, but we don't normally have them around here, and I can't ever remember hearing/seeing one before. It was rather funny once we found out what was going on, man can they make some awesome noises. His rendition of stretching barbed wire was flawless :lol: :lol:
 
I would say.. get out my shotgun.. and BAM! :shock:
I know what you mean, those mockingbirds will even "sing" all through the night around my place, sometimes sitting on my chimney.
 
I've finially got a mocking bird in my yard!! :heart: :D

Still remember being in Germany(hubby posted there) and the song "Loveing You is easy 'cause you're beautiful "came on the radio... there's a mockingbird singing in it..Well,I burst out crying I was so homesick for Texas... Aint nothing like being in a fourian country with 3 kids under 4years old , and a crazy man :(
