What size electric motor for a 4 inch auger?

I need to put an electric motor on a 4 inch auger that is 8 feet long. What size electric motor would I need? I'm going to use it to auger rolled barley into a box that I feed out of.

all you need on that auger is a 1.5 or 2hp motor.its big enough to run the auger.

We run a 2 HP. Works fine.

We had a 4 inch auger 8 feet long augering dry shelled corn with a three quarter horse electric motor and it had plenty of power. It also augered soybeans and they pull harder than corn.
