What motor?

Last summer we purchased a 1997 F250 Powerstroke Deisel. Great truck! There is no manual or other imformation. How can I tell what size engine is in it? Anyone know? Thanks. GLEN

There is usually a small placard or label looking thing under the hood that will have the particulars. You may need to talk to Ford about what their goofy codes mean, but the numbers should be there. Or even easier, call your local Ford dealer and ask the mehcanics.

That would be the 7.3 Liter Powerstroke. The 7.3 replaced the 6.9, and is being now phased out by the 6.0.
