Bought a brand new J Class 1/2 hp jet pump (just pump/switch/dial, no pressure tank) at garage sale yesterday for $50. What is the going price for these new? I haven't priced them lately.

Well, Harbor Freight has junk Chinese pumps for about $110. I thought I could use one at a well. The threads are suppose to be pipe threads, but pipe doesn't get tight as the threads are engaged. Just pure junk?
If your pump works, and stays working for a while, it's probably worth at least twice what you paid.

I've seen 1 hp pumps with tank retail for as low as $169 ($220 canadian)

American prices dont translate up here though. They have to tack on the 'screwin canadians tax' - so likely around 250 or 300..
