I put the battle of the Alamo up there with the greatest of historic sacrifices and acts of courage. That defines "heroic" in my book.
 
I suspect the term 'heroic' references a male, so therefore, is bad.

Austin is not part of Texas. Like most places... the public education system is broken.
 
Agreed Austin is very different than everywhere else in Texas. I graduated with one of our state representatives,and I'm sad to report that I think they have to take a stupid pill when they are elected and raise their right hand. We are all in trouble with this movement that seems to be gaining steam... Noone seems to be willing to sacrifice like those at the Alamo.
 
Quite a uproar about it. The effort bought time. It saved many private citizens in the runaway scrape.

Got that right! Where else can you have Hippie Hollow (naked beach) and a naked bike ride downtown in front of the Capitol Building to protest the war? Lived there 7 years. Buh-bye!
