temperature when born? asking because.............

over five years ago had a calf born when 0 (zero degrees)

calf was brahman-corriente cross, born with big brahman ears. a week later they had been frozen and fallen off. now looks like the picture you have. probably an unlikely event for you, but just thought of. i still have the calf, now a productive cow.

We get to see lots of frozen ear calves. Those ears don't look frozen to me. Just looks like a standard Brown Swiss.

I had a Brown Swiss that looked very similar back when we were experimenting with Belgian Blue crosses. Of course she had an udder... (wink)

Brown Swiss with the lower ear set , kids do dairy steers at some fairs but do not know if they do around you
