Each year our big district fair has a hay show along with everything else. I always enter, because it cost $20 to run a hay sample, and it cost the same to have someone else come out and pull a hay sample and enter it in the fair. Gosh knows I like it when someone else has to drill my big rounds instead of me. I won it once, several years ago. Anyway, found out I won it again this year! I still have to get the results, but I know the hay tested at 12% protein and a RFV of 85. It is a fescue mix with a little rye in it. Pretty happy here, other than I had to take a bale up to the fairgrounds to put on display for the 10 days of the fair.... Happy days :banana:
