this morning at 5:15 as I headed out the door to feed the trust old thermometer read a whopping 1 degree - I guess you have to look on the bright side - it was 1 above! We had just a little snow on Sunday night but now it's just cold - I'm hoping for a snowy winter for the moisture - but I could really do without the severe below zero stuff that happens here. The good news I guess is I've been waiting to turn the cows out on the hayfields - and I'll be able to do it in a few days now that we've had hard freeze.
