Let's hear it. What's the strangest, most random, or just plain funniest thing you've ever come across while working? Was it a rogue toy, a piece of old farm equipment, or something even more bizarre?

Let's see who has the best story. The weirder, the better!

I found a deflated balloon with a note that said, 'Please let them know how far the balloon traveled.' I contacted them by email and sent them a picture of the balloon and told them my locationtion. It had been released by a kid and his parents over on the East Coast.
Found one a few years ago that had an email to send where the location I found the balloon. Sent an email and no response.

We'll it wasn't in the pasture, but was about 200-300 feet above it. It was cold wintertime, about 11pm I saw a blimp. No lights, no sound, drifting about 5 mph. I had been building my present home and had just left to go home. If I hadn't stopped to pee and close the gate, I'd have never known. It was a clear starry night, no moon, and I could only see the silhouette. It was an eerie experience.

Most people thought I was crazy. One person opined that it could have been one of the Goodyear blimps being repositioned from a Cowboys football game the previous evening to a football game somewhere northeast. I never could get the football schedule and the direction of travel to agree. Still a mystery.

Found this checking fence on a lease pasture, if you look close you can see the carcass laying in the woods. I looked around but didn’t find the head. This is the third deer I’ve seen tangle in a fence like this, the other 2 were alive when I found them, 1 had to be shot because it could never get up after I untangled it, the other one ran off with a limp.

We came home to a power outage one time. Neighbors upstream on the line all had power so called the power company the next morning. They found a dead hawk and a snake below the power line - figured the hawk landed on the upper line with it's snake and the snake dangled down and shorted out to the lower line.

I had a neighbor who would send invitations to his annual party by attaching the invitations to balloons and releasing them.

Found these in the middle of a 90 acre pasture that is for our part of the country literally in the middle of nowhere.
Sent pictures to a sheriff’s deputy that we know. Never figured out anything.
Over a year later found out that the landlord’s son and some buddies were out there playing with tannerite.

This is now the hearth for the downstairs fireplace. It was right next to a subterranean structure.

Hasn't been pasture since before we bought the ranch, but a fawn was tangled up in some old panels in the woods by the house. Interesting, it was a twin and mama watched us get it untangled. And I couldn't help but snuggle it a bit before I let it go. Then she hung out in our back yard for probably 4 more years.
