Weird Genetic Trait?

So, a year ago, this cow has a fine young bull calf, and all he wants to do is run away, through the electric fence and hide in the bushes. After a day of putting the calf back in the pen, it finally decides it is okay to nurse, and things are fine with the little yearling now.

So, a week ago, the same cow has another bull calf, and believe it or not, all it wanted to do is climb through the electric fence and hide in the bushes! Almost a replay of a year ago. A day of putting back through the fence, and all is good now. Weird.

BTW, the cow was a sale barn cow, don't know it's history.

How is the cow? I would think it to be genetics. Did the calf from previous year mellow out? That might have been why she was at the sale barn??

Neighbor had a cow like that. She was quiet as can be, but every one of her calves had a screw loose. I remember helping him round up a 400 lb heifer calf a few years back and it was crazy. She'd run you everytime, trying to kill you. We finally got a rope on it and drug it into the barn so he could ship it the next day. To load it, he opened the gate and the calf actually chased him into the trailer where he got out through the man door up front.

lol, I had bruises everywhere after that episode. Never saw any calf like that in my life.
