To recap (for those that never read links but post anyway :D ), Insys Therapeutics spent half a mil to defeat legalizing pot in AZ, all the while they were working on a synthetic version of mary jane. For which they have now gotten FDA approval, to "treat" the same kind of symptoms that pot researchers (and "researchers") have long said warrant legit medical review.

Totally not a weed proponent here, just a hypocrisy-opponent..."“It appears they are trying to kill a non-pharmaceutical market for marijuana in order to line their own pockets,” a spokesman for Arizona's marijuana legalization campaign said of Insys last year." Ya think? (The company has been working hard for years to stifle legalization attempts, saying how evil the stuff is).

It is BS. To produce drugs knowing you are going to make addicts and then to make another drug that keeps your addict from dying when they overdose then to claim to fight pot because you care about children only to make your own "legal" pot is just wrong on so many levels. If we had any true regulators they would shut this company down or make them make other types of medicine.

Hard to shut them down but maybe, in considering whether to approve their "fake mj", the FDA should be allowed to use their prior statements ["drugs are bad, mmkay"] as if they were fact, for purposes of the review.

I don't know the backstory of all the other stuff but it sounds like the company has been corrupt in more than this so I would think they have to have a lot of licenses to operate a company like this and the denial of some permits might be in order. It sounds like they are not in the business of curing people but making repeat customers.
