Come across a new plant yesterday. orange -red bulb of seeds ( 1-2 ) per plant 6 inch off ground . green bulb on younger plants. Couple of fan like green leaves thigh high shaped like spread fingers. in a wetter part of creek bottom h asnt been cropped or pastured in years. On the weed subject russian lezpedesa in that bottom also can cattle spread to another pasture? TIA

The first thing that comes to mind is ginseng but I'm probably wrong

Not ginseng seed pod is 10 x bigger. actually is impressive looking. not on my daily rounds for a pic. Gotta drive up rough rocky creek to get to back end of this property.

A couple of years ago I found a similar plant in a back pasture but mowed it down before it flowered. Someone on here new exactly what it was based on the foliage.
