Nope--ground is too wet and ground temp still way above freezing. Low projected to be no lower than30- 31F and then only after midnight, snow to end at 1:45am according to current forecast.
It was still 38F when the snow began here.

It’s 32 here and starting to stick
the weather service keeps extending the time.
Predicting a little over .5 inch.
Don’t see it staying long after it quits ground is not cold enough.

Yeah, well here's something else you won't see every day....from a few minutes ago:

And, maybe I was wrong. It does seem to be sticking. Hard to believe 3 months ago this week, there was about a billion tons of warm water out in the same area. What the hell else can go wrong this year? ..be glad when 2017 is finally GONE!

Stuck

Never not seen it when we get a hurricane we get snow
Boondocks snow is very unusual here be like you getting one of our 100 degree plus days.
Our typical winter is low 40’s upper 30’s and rain.
Remember a January a few years ago it drizzled 28 days that month.
Hard on cows when it gets in the 40’s and lower and they stay wet for days.
I believe it was Dun that posted a chart on energy needed from stress put on a cow. It was actually less where it got it the 20’s.

There will be a bunch of people get hurt or die this morning.
We’re idiots when it comes to driving on ice and snow.

“Won’t stick”. Hahaha...same thing I said when it started. I actually put some hay out for the cows because it was wet and I hadn’t turned them on the oats. Glad I did now.
