It is hard to believe that we have had more rain in the last few days than in all of last year. Nearly 6 inches in the last two days. Four inches last week. About the first of the year around two inches. Still raining slow and more predicted for the next few days. This is in Wood County in East Texas.

The San Marcos River is supposed to crest this afternoon south of Luling at around 24 ft. Flood stage is 20. Some people we know south, east and north east of Austin got between 5 and 6 inches yesterday.Z

I did to, tanks are running over, hadn,t seen that in a while.
Bad side, lost a thousand feet of fence. But thats ok for now water is a lot more important.

Seems like we either get no rain for months or bad flooding. We had no rain all summer then in a week we got over 2 feet. After that no rain for a while. Now we are getting pounded by rain again, for the last few days its rained almost non stop and not expected to let up until Wednesday. The ground has soaked up all it can, now were stuck with lots of standing water that may end up being ice the next couple days.
