Water Troughs

I have a galvanized water trough that is leaking in the seam. I damaged it when I moved it. What do you use to repair your leaking galvanized water troughs. I tried caulking with water proof painters caulk but it still leaks. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

get it dried out completely and apply some mobile home roof sealer put it on in a couple of layers and it will work great

Some of the better gutter and downspout sealers work pretty good also.
