Warts

I thought I had posted this bit don't see it. See pic attached I hope. Is this a wart or what? What do I do to it. I think my bull had this on his ear last year and I soaked it in cydectin and it finally went away.

I leave them alone, till they go away. Never seen warts, not go away on their own.

There are several things you can do. Crush it with a pair of pliers, ignore it, both will take about the same amount of time to clear up. In the OWT category, cur it off and feed it to him, or cut it off, wrap in an old dish rag and bury it under yours neighbors cousins porch. Those will take about as lng as the first 2

Thanks for the info. I think I'll just wait it out. I just did not want it to be a problem.

They make a wart vaccine and it works, but sometimes it takes a couple doses.

Noticed one of last years heifer's has quite a few around one of her eyes. Is the wart virus contagious?

Do any of you medicate for warts? Or just allow time?

When I was 10-14 years old, my fingernail beds were covered with warts. Dermatoligist tried acid removal and something else. Never did a thing. Then within a month years later they all disappeared. To this day I am wart free.

Similar thing with these cattle ya reckon?

Yes, cattle warts are contagious to other cattle.
