Try Gary Stevenson, Flying G Ranch 979-277-2762
If he does not have any or is to far away he can put you with someone that can help.

The Oklahoma & Texas Angus Breeders Association is having a sale at 1:00 PM on 21 Jan in Buffalo, Oklahoma. Im not sure if that is to far for yout o travel to get what you want, but they will be selling 113 lots, to include 8 bred heifers and 2 pairs.

You can get a catalogue or more information by calling (580) 938-1094

What are you calling resonably priced? That means many different things to many different people.

The ALOT Angus sale is at Mt. Pleasant May 12th if you can wait that long. The Red River Angus group is having a bull sale at Wichita Falls on Feb 24th. I don't know if they're selling females, too.

The ALOT link below has a membership list. You might run down it and see if there are any breeders in your area.

I've also stuck on the link to the Texas Angus Assn. Take time to look it over. Maybe you can email a member there. Good luck....

thanks for the help. We have 3 unregistered black angus now that we paid $750 each for when they were weaned. What do registered black angus go for???

It depends on the breeding, age and sale forum. Premium Gold Angus recently dispersed at Stephenville, TX, and I'll bet their heifers sold high. We recently sold a registered Angus heifer, bred, for $1700. But I've seen pasture bred open heifers sell for about what you paid and bred heifers sell for a whole lot more than $1700.

That's why I suggest you get to some sales and just observe. Talk to the consignors, learn about pedigrees, figure where you will try to market the calves before you jump into the registered business.

I noticed this in the Stephenville newpaper today. I think 445 is Dublin.
