Wanting calves

Call Tim Lockhart over at Deshazers and he can fix you up with some reasonably priced stuff, may not be top of the breed averages but, good cattle to say the least

Well no I dont. We've only lived here about 2 years.........so enlighten me on who this person is.

If these are to be a FFA or 4-H project, then I suggest that you first determine do you want a market project (steer) or a breeding beef project (heifer). Next, if it is a breeding beef project, you and the kids need to decide what breed you want. At this point a visit with the ag teacher or county agent would be in order. They can go with you to help you and the kids make a good pick.

Yes.. talk with your FFA Advisor and / or extension agent and / or ag teacher! They can direct you to calves that are shown in your area, and can help you pick out the best calves for your $$.
