want to short cycle my heifer

I know that I can short cycle my heifer by giving 5 cc Lutalyse 7days after day 0, but is day 0 the day of standing heat, or the assumed day of ovulation? She was in standing heat Monday night and early Tuesday morning, Aug.17/18. Could not get the a.I. tech in time. When can I give Lutalyse to short cycle her? Thanks!

7 days from the Tuesday may do it... but depending upon how mature the CL is... you might have to give another dose at day 10-11.
Back in the early days, when we 'synchronized' groups with two doses of prostaglandin...you gave an initial dose, bred any that came into heat, then gave the remainder a dose 11 days later.
