So. Carolina has the highest high school drop out rate (per a Clemson study I found online) and the third highest adult illiteracy rate. Poor kid didn't have much of a chance.

Great people, though. Just a mess educationally.

Interesting that the highest drop out rate doesn't correlate to the highest illiteracy rate.
