It is easier to AI heifers than cows because there is no calf to mess with.
Also, wagyu sires small calves with less growth capacity than most breeds. This makes for an easy calving to "open" the heifers. While a less growthy calf on a cow is a little sad, because she does not need a supereasy calving. There should be marbling on the crossbreds whether the heifers are angus or not, the sire provides lots of it, and neither of the breeds mentioned are "zero" marbling.
