I am feeding some steers that have been weaned to try to put some more wieght on them before they are sold. One of the steers (about 600lbs) appears to be vomiting every time he comes to the feed trough. I have watched him for a week now. He doesn't seem to be losing any wieght and he has a huge appetite, so I don't think he has an obstruction but I am by no means a vet. He definatly eats more than he throws up. Its not a vomit from all the way down if that makes any sense. Seems like he gets it in his throat and just decides to spit it back up. Could he just be eating to fast? He is the only one that does it. He is on soybean hulls, oat hay, salt, and minerals. Should i not worry about it, or haul him straight to the sale?
