The US has a bit of a problem with entitled spring break twits.....

But, your not alone, how embarrasing for me as an Australian to see some of my so called countrymen acting this way....and not giving a toss basically...

If I was the chief health officer, I would order the relevant authorities to impose the highest fine possible, along with fees to forcibly isolate them all, or jail some of them till it is over after testing them first.

We have a bill of rights that forbids that. We are not under Marshal law!
The President can only declare Marshal law with Congress approval.
“On a federal level, only the president has the power to impose martial law. In each state, the governor has the right to impose martial law within the borders of the state. ... In 1878, Congress passed the Posse Comitatus Act, which forbids military involvement in domestic law enforcement without congressional approval.”
 
Yes...I have a bit of a grasp of much of the rules and freedoms there, that is why I also think it may become a real problem, people may use arms in some circumstances as they become more paniced and agitated.

The govt I just heard has closed the beach here....good....but that moves those irresponsible people elsewhere.....

A lot of things cannot be enforced here either, but it can change, the panic buying is getting worse here....and here is a country town....I can sense people on edge when out.....they have police and security in some stores now I am told....

If it gets real bad where you are, putting aside your rights, do you feel it may be much riskier with people carrying arms ?

Not wanting a gun debate, I wish we had more freedoms at times, but what do you think personally, if food and systems go real haywire......do you think some may get into gun fights ? Like imagine someone refusing to get out of your face after you ask them nicely to move back....
 
Some states do not allow open carry is my understanding, so Texas is open carry, I do think that is a visual detterent.

The thinking on concealed is you have to assume everyone may be carrying and willing to defend ?, not sure which has proven better.

It is the drugged up or those who may just lose it that are the potential problem.

This may be different if some normal people become paniced and having trouble feeding themselves.

A lot may lose access to income, our systems could be very tested or fail, this is when all bets are off....I read a grocery store was ram raided, but do not know the details...

Meanwhile, down here, if it got to that, we can throw stones maybe....lol....not only do we have no right to protect property, self defence is severly limited.

There is a way around that, you have two cricket bats, first you crack them across the head and then you put the other bat in their hand. You are aloud to meet force with force.

Over here in the west everything is pretty calm and normal.

Dont you need a licence and serial number to buy bats now ? They could kill someone...lol

I seen plenty of evidence today, people just dont get it....then they will try and sue someone when a family member passes....they are missing the point & or do not give a rats, which will mean were all forced to lock down at some near point....

Maybe you can respond in another 2 weeks and see if mocking my post was warranted.

It has accelarated here, and those in the US may be in for much greater acceleration.

And be aware, the number they say in the US is a gross under counting due to lack of testing, just like us, there are people walking amongst ya all that have it and spreading it...

I wasn't mocking your post, I agree with all of it. What you posted was the same as what the surgeon general would have said and did say and you were repeating it I'm in total agreement with all it.

I did not realise that, where do I go to get my pay increase ?

A lot of officials were not talking like this only a matter of days ago, including your pres, and people still do not get it.....

Maybe I pay too much attention when it is not just noise, this is a problem for politics and the herd, because most are probably used to all the spin, so when something serious arises, people do not give it any more attention than the local robbery....

Not unlike nations looking to expand now, and what Germany did......happened under everyones nose....no one paid much attention till it was everyones prob.

Yes, our pres. the carnival barker likes to do all the talking while health experts sit in chairs behind him trying to correct and clarify every utterance he makes. What he says is the opposite of truth and I believe the opposite of anything he says.

As long as the groceries stay stocked, no I don’t. Do I think crime will increase in this farce yes.
The death toll isn’t even close to the yearly flu outbreaks.
I hope I am wrong but this seems to be manufactured to me through media.
Once the fear and panic started then the masses needed comfort.
 
The media didn't manufacture the 793 people that died yesterday in Italy or the 627 that died there the day before. That's what the West (US & Canada) is trying to avoid happening here, but there are still those who would rather have their own little insignificant 'normalcy' back than to save lives. Their full name is "me,me,me".

Rember the koreans that had to defend thier stores .......

In some areas, if extremely poor and hungry, anything is possible, but even low paid workers with no job anymore all of a sudden, when hungry, could do anything......

So it will depend on how bad and desperate things become in some places.
