The "milking Herefords" gave me some great advice and was a lot of help, with good discussion. But it did bring up another question.
Reed has Vindicator semen priced at $10 a straw, I believe he is long since deceased. While you take a bull "like" Online that had a very short breeding life and his semen is going for $300 a straw. What's the main difference in product control? Better bull management? inventory control? You're thoughts?
This post is not a knock on any bull, just curious on the industry and why some inventory of a great bull is there for years and some are gone in a few years.... hence the word "like" Online.
Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post your opinion publicly.
Thanks,
Alan
