Not exactly focused on the small time pasture based farm. I wonder how much beef or milk the small farmer would have to sell to pay for that loader, much less the silage storage areas!
 
You're right but you can always throw a tarp and some tires over your pile and acheive the same thing, i've lots of small time dairies do that
 
I watched that thing. They need a better editor. Lots of good info, presented disjointedly.
What he says about hay is gospel. My first cutting, taken 3 weeks too late, has 75% relative feed value. That sucks. I have a big pile of it, and it's better than snowballs. Later cuttings haven't been tested yet. I do have some alfalfa I expect will go 115% I need a grinder.
