We have one. It works pretty good. Expensive but it works. As long as the rain doesn't downpour immediately after, it lasts maybe 3 weeks.

If you can hit them between the eyes! :lol: I don't know. The gun and ammo is too high for a tightwad like me.
We also have a small herd of 27 and bought the gun this week. Worked like charm and the flies are gone for now, fly control mineral has always worked well for us, but the house flies are what we're plagued with right now. We'll see how long it lasts. For us (couple of fifty somethings) we figured the stress, chance of getting someone hurt plus that they'd be grazing instead of swatting flies it was worth a try. The guy at our feedstore told us the wormer capsules are developed but not approved yet. Looking forward to that additional advantage of owning the gun.
We have one, we don't use them on the main herd just to expensive but we sure love it for the Bulls being developed. Getting the Bulls up to treat for flys is a pain the hiney, they do fine out in the pasture together for the most part. An occasional fight will break out but when you start to push them up an alley all he// will break out, so being able to avoid that is worth the price of the gun and ammo.
The boss went out about a month ago to shoot them and the gun leaked down the air before he could get them all he tried again and it was worse. The gun is about two years old, he contacted vet gun they shipped us a new gun with instructions to ship the old gun back. So great customer service on the gun.

You can get the capsules for $2 a shot from Jeffers.com. But you have to buy 150 of them. It's the best buy I have found. The treatment works for me for a couple of weeks but I've never seen it work for 5-6 weeks like some proclaim. As the flies are worse on my bulls, I shoot them two times, once on each side. I do use it, and have used it since it first came out, but I have learned not to expect it to last more than 15 or so days.

Had mine malfunction (leaking CO2) after a year and some substantial use. Manufacturer was extremely helpful and replaced it. Agri-labs also sent a new box of CO2 cartridges to replace to the 2 cartridges I had lost due to this issue. Very helpful and GREAT customer service.
Works fine for me, I use it about every three weeks this time of year, but can get a month or more out of a treatment in spring and fall. My bull comes to be treated after he hears it shooting others. Doesn't flinch and appears to look forward to the relief.
