I voted for Pumpkin pie, but there's another old favorite: Saskatoon pie. ESPECIALLY when the saskatoon berries are home-grown and picked right from the bushes of the farm. Mmmmm mmmm!!!!

You can also use the recipe on the bisquick box...just substitute blackberries...but make sure you've sugared them and let them sit in the fridge overnight...

mnmt's Bosslady here... Thanks for the recipe link. I think I can manage to print it out, but then mnmt's going to have to do the shopping and the baking. :roll: He can make a really great stir fry, so now it's time for him to make the leap to pie crust!
 
I only like two kinds of pie! Hot and cold!

The only kind I will not eat: mince meat. :shock:

I havn't had blackberry cobbler in about ten years. sure sounds good, warm with ice cream.
My wife baked cherry, apple, berry, pumpkin, banana cream, and chocolate pies for Thanksgiving. And yes I tried them all! :oops: :oops:
 
My three favorites are blackberry, rhubard, and gooseberry, with blackberry winning out by about a half-bite. Peach doesn't make my top 3 but it is my favorite 'sweet' pie and I would never turn it down either!
