I know, I know. But we're talking about taking one again this year. Any suggestions? We're not leaving the confines of the continental US. We need to be able to get there and back in a week. I prefer a mix of city and beautiful countryside. Open to suggestions. Thanks.

We're leaving for Rome and several other Italian cities in a few weeks. My dream trip. When you see me at the Vatican you'll probalby wonder "Who's the guy in the white dress up there on the balcony with Tex"???? :banana:

man yall are lucky tobe taking vacations.hey TB youll love rome.my neice an her hubby went there last year for their vacc.blew about 6 grand.an they stayed a week or 10 days.oh an be warned their food is a lot differant than it is here.

Frankie, here's what I'd do in your place. I love to visit National Parks. Been to a bunch of them. Never been to Big Bend. I'd take the scenic route down through the Texas hill country to and through Big Bend, ease over to El Paso for the city part and head 'er back to Oklahoma via New Mexico. Eating Tex-Mex the whole way.

I'd take the scenic route down through the Texas hill country to and through Big Bend, ease over to El Paso for the city part and head 'er back to Oklahoma via New Mexico. Yes, we took a real vacation last year. If we wait until we're "retired", we'll be too feeble to get out of the rocking chair.

We had the trip all planned, take plenty of time to stop and see sights, not put in ten hours a day driving. But about three days before we left, we added Antietam to our agenda. So this year, we're thinking of flying to the lovely state of Georgia. Delta has added a direct flight to Atlanta from an airport near here.
