Uterus in hanging out

I have a cow that gave birth a couple of days ago, Mother and Calf was fine but within the last couple of days the mother has pushed her uterus out, I don't know how long it's been out, just found her today that way. What to do short from calling a vet? In the past we have pushed them back in and the cow was fine. Looking at this it been hanging a while.

You're going to have to stuff it back in and sew up the vulva. Putting sugar on it sometimes will help with the swelling. If youre not able to do that then you need a vet. It will not fix itself

You can dump some nolvasan on it to get it cleaned up and shove it back in. More often than not they'll stay but sometimes one will pop back out and then she needs some purse strings.
She needs to be a cull once she's done with this calf.

Clean it with warm water and a light solution of Dawn dish soap and rinse it with warm water and push it back in. Watch her and hopefully it will stay in and you can cull her after weaning her calf. I have had good luck with this with holstien dairy cows but have not had a beef cow prolapse yet.

Like hooknline said make sure its the uterus and not the afterbirth before you start pushing it back in, and sewing things shut.
Also, the chances of metritis ( white foamy discharge, fever etc etc) are pretty good if its been hanging out for a while, so antibitotics are in order if that occurs..
