I may be a little mentally thick here, but how does the panel aid with giving shots or wormer?robertwhite":1pwp2ijh said:tsmaxx47":1pwp2ijh said:robert, out of curiosity, why the livestock panel on the one side? how wide is the chute area?
Cattle fence (livestock panel) is so the cattle can be worked (shots, wormer, etc) at any height the need calls for.
Chute is 26 inches inside.
I believe the worst I have ever seen is riding to the sale barn with grandad in his pickup.. We were hauling a cow in back. The dang thing crawled out, over the cab and hood and took off down the highway. Pretty well destroyed the truck.Caustic Burno":1gfnlspf said:Novatech that's the reason my headgate is welded to pipe. That rodeo is better than the bull in the hay ring.
The all time best is the fliped cow laying in the chute with all four legs sticking up in the air. That one made for a real exciting time, there was one heck of a clown show at that rodeo.

How do you remove the 2X6's?
Have you thought about a walk plank on the side so you can work them from above?
You may want to keep an eye on the bolts holding the gate to the post. Treated wood shrinks and the bolts tend to loosen up.

There is always that one cow that shows you where improvements need to be made. Sure hate to learn lessons that way. Unfortunately that is how I learned a lot of my lessons. :bang:
