Hey Mike C, Well I bought me 3 Charolais Heifers at the sale today in Uniontown (lot's 91,92,93) and 2 commercial heifers (83 & 84)

now I can actually say HOUSTON We Have a Problem, the heifers are 13-14 month old and I havent bought a bull yet and dont have my chute and catch pen finished for AI. OH WELL :) more working from sun up to sun down for next few weeks getting done. I do want to find a Char bull now and AI the next group I buy. I plan to AI or breed these in December.

Mike I am going to buy some weaned heifers from Meadows farm in Ashford, probally next month.
Mike if you know of a good Char bull for sale, let me know.

I will try to get the cam dusted off for some pics later this week.

Those Char calves from John Akin are good calves Chris. You did good on the price too.

I know Richard Meadows well and he is a good guy. He'll treat you right.

What time of year are you going to breed those heifers? I may have an extra bull you can use for a couple of months to keep you from buying a bull this year. PM, or call me and we'll discuss it. Sorry I didn't make it to Uniontown.

By the way, the only other Char bulls that I know of is the EPD sale at Mid-State stockyard in Feb.
 
Mike, I plan to breed them in December or Jan

I will call you later this afternoon to talk about using your bull, I will be coming to the sale on Dec 10 in Cullman (there may be a couple of bulls there) and would even consider bringing them to your farm and leave them for a few weeks.????? would that be better. NOW I wish I had bought a bull at the Pate sale.

I am not sure what type of shots they have received and need prior to breeding. I have emailed Mr Akins and may call him this afternoon.
