I'm curious to see if anyone can help my boyfriend and I diagnose what has killed three cows of ours so far, one last year and two this year. The only noticeable symptom has been blood discharging from the nose and/or mouth of the dead/dying cattle, but no blood appears out of any other orifice. Only one cow at a time is affected, but they show the same symptoms although one that died was not even on the same farm as the other two. They seem to die near the hay feeders, two have died in the exact same spot a year apart. One also had a swollen eye upon discovery. If anyone has any ideas as to what this could be or if there is any vaccination possible we would really appreciate your input. Thanks.
