So I've been told this is the ugliest cow ever seen by and ag guy. Any how she is "pet". She has had nice calves but now she has to go cause she is open. She wa born in 96 and done well. She is holstien/charlois cross. Tomorrow she goes.

Well RR, I have seen uglier cows. She's not all that bad looking.I have one limo that will be leaving. She hasn't had a calf since earlier 2006. Hubby will give her until spring. I would take her now,but prices are low.
I have a couple of 16 yr olds. Long as they have a calf they stay. I know their time is limited and it will be awful hard on their shipping day.

I have a black bauldie cow thats about 10 years old, still looks good, has good calves, but her utters have been getting bigger over the last few years and this year they were big enough where I had to milk her to relieve the pressure. As much as I hate to I'll sell her. Don't want to start milking every time she has a calf.

I had a holstein xangus cow a few years ago that could challenge that one for the ugliness title. I'll try and find a photo of her, she was a calf raising machine.

Thanks y'all. It's hard to see her go. She was the first calf I ever helped be born, she was bottle fed and raised real good calves. One year she raised an orphan as well as her own and they were both big calves and she had no grain.
But being open this year...

And she is a real looker too. DMc
