Udder critique?

This cow just had her second calf. Thinking toward what bull to breed her back to and where she needs improvement. What would you change (if anything) about her udder? She raised a dandy heifer last year and just had another one.

Udder quality is something to always have in the back of your mind. Never use a bull that is known to throw a bad udder every now and then.

This udder is good enough for a beef cow and I see no reason to expect udder breakdown or the bag blowing out in this cow. The teats are nice and small and the udder is more or less evenly balanced. I suppose it could have had a stronger attachment in front, but like I said its a beef cow, and as long as her udder holds up for a long productive life and she weans a good calf, you don't need anything more.

I dont believe anything needs to be changed... and if it did.. how would you? I think you gotta good cow there.. udder and all...

nothing wrong there. nice small teats too. looks like there will be plenty years of wear and tear left in that department.

Thanks for the comments. This cow's udder is better this year than I remember it being last year with her first calf. I knew to expect her to give more milk with the second calf but the improvement in udder shape is a pleasant surprise.

That was what I noticed, maybe a stronger frontal attachment but still better than most commercial cows tht you'll see go through the salebarn.
