Two more calves, LD Capitalist 316

Saturday we had the Connealy Courage heifer. Now Wednesday we had a LD Capitalist 316 heifer calf, and Thursday, another LD Capitalist 316 heifer calf. I noticed on Jeanne's thread everyone top heavy on the heifer calves so far.


All were due Sept 17. All heifer calf. No assists. All sucked in 90 min or less

Sept 8 - 70# Courage out of an Absolute (09-01-16)
Sept 12 - 63# Capitalist 316 out of a Hoover Dam (09-13-16)
Sept 13 - 68# Capitalist 316 out of a Hoover Dam son/Royal Queen dam (11-08-16)

It got pretty warm yesterday and today so got the lean to opened up and the fans going.
Now the question is to retain or sell a nice little set

I would like to see the Capitalist 316 calves, he is one of the bulls I will be using over the next couple of weeks.

Yes, on the subject of heifers. I don't know what the medium size farms do with all their heifers if they use sexed semen. To me, that will lower the sale price you "should" ask, unless you are planning on expanding. I breed every cow hoping for a heifer, but I am real glad at weaning time that I have a group of steers to "cash flow".
