Two different black Angus bulls

Difference in the facial markings from two of our Angus sires

Cows DNA had more to do with the white face markings if your Angus bulls are homozygous black.

Both out of registered Polled Hereford cows . Every calf out of my Butkus bull are mottled faced . Every calf out of All In son are all white faced .

Your Butkus bull carries the brockle gene while the All In doesn’t. Many bulls from solid colored breeds have it but you can’t see it until they are crossed on a white faced breed like Hereford.

I prefer the type in the first calf. That's all.

Both purebred registered Angus bulls Just unique to me that one throws solid white face and the other brockle or motley faced as we call it .

I like the motley faced calves more also !
