Twitter

I have one but never tweet out anything just follow people. It's good for getting breaking news stories. It's also nice to follow your local national weather service office.

During the storm electrical power was lost. My son-in-law started sending me twitter positioning of the tornadoes on my iphone. I may be rethinking my thoughts on twitter. Maybe it does have value.

I don't tweet nor facebook. Guess I'm "anti-social". I've looked at my wife's facebook and it looks like a bunch of folks telling you ever little move they make day in and day out.

On facebook I Follow Diamond McNabb Ranch horses and Jerry Jepson Hancock Horses....a couple of cattle breeders....my riding companions and I post doings about our cover crop project. I am listed as a friend to 167 people and that shows that about 160 folks have no idea who I am....
twitting and tweeting every time I move is not for me but I find facebook useful....the two are very different.....facebook is easy to post a photo along with a message....easy to comment on a friends post...easy to post a link to anything....I do get a lot of anti obummer political commentary from friends and sites I have followed.....but it is easy to unfollow if it gets burdensome.

its a great way to find out when people are not at home
who the drunks, ho's and deadbeat dads are, it will tell you the people that have a great life and the ones that are miserable. You can also find Jesus on face book but only if you hit the LIKE button.

Never tweeted and don't have a FB page. My wife loves FB and keeps me up to date with other family members. It's great for that but the daily "stuff" annoys me.

I don't do any of that stuff. By the time I know about it they have something new, when I figured out what my space was then there was facebook and then twitter. My daughter is a school teacher and I here her talk about pinterest and google drive. Some of it is ok, they can e-mail her with homework questions and she can pull up their work and look at it. No doubt social media is here to stay, it's just gonna have to do it without me.

I don't even text message unless it someone that I have to deal with but can't stand to speak to in person and that just leaves one guy. Being here is about as advanced as I get. I read news online, check e-mail, and come here and I'm a Neanderthal otherwise. I don't even own a tv.
I could get a real kick out of twitter though. It would be kind of fun to see how many people I could get to follow me through some of the oddities of my way of life. :D

You're not that much of a neanderthal. Friend of mine in WA doesn;t have a computer, he does have antenna TV but his only phone is on the wall. As advanced as he is is that he has an answering machine that he uses to screen calls.

I don't tweet but I follow and it is great for media information.

I do find it funny though that I have some followers , but have yet to tweet a thing . :dunce:

There's a few country songs in all that. Especially the Jesus part. I like that :D

I've been called a twit :lol2: but I don't have a tweet account...I do spend too much time on Facebook since my cows left..... :( Enjoy seeing some of my CT friend over there. It is easy to post pictures too!!!

Don't tweet but I Facebook a lot. Signed up for Google+ but never got the hang of it, so I closed that account. I get Linkedin invites almost weekly and don't know what it is. With the FB account I have several pages and my chicken page has made a few sales for me.
